It's like Christmas for me this entire weekend as the NBA Playoffs get underway. I've watched all the games so far, 4 yesterday, and another 4 today. Don't worry, I've gotten up and and done other things as well in order to avoid bed sores and blood clots. Today's first game, Spurs/Grizzlies, just started. Obviously, I'm routing for the Celtics and would love to see them win it all, but anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE the NBA, not just one team. So, I have an interest in every single match up. My favorite team in the West, since the days of David Robinson, has been the San Antonio Spurs. I love everything about this team (I'm even learning to accept Richard Jefferson!). Let me be clear, the opinions expressed in this post do not reflect the feelings of both "Takeover" authors. Big Ran could care less about the Spurs, unless they are facing the Lakers, and in that case, he would join me in cheering for them. How can you not love this team? They just play the game the right way and have hard working, dedicated talent for days. And, who wouldn't want Popovich as their team's coach? (Big Ran will have some insults to hurl his way).
The ideal NBA Finals Match up for me would be Boston/San Antonio. So, without further adieu....
